It is with deep reverence that we recall the prophetic words of His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche, who foresaw the vast activities of his holiness Gangteng Tulku Rinpoche in spreading the profound teachings of the Great Perfection (Dzogchen):
ཀུན་བཟང་ཐུགས་ཀྱི་བསྟན་པ་ཡིད་བཞིན་ནོར།།
པདྨ་འབྱུང་གནས་རྒྱལ་བའི་གདུང་འཛིན་མཆོག།
རྣམ་མང་གདུལ་བྱའི་མགོན་དང་དཔུང་གཉེན་དུ།།
སྐུ་ཚེ་མི་ནུབ་རྒྱལ་མཚན་ཡུན་བརྟན་གསོལ།།
𝒲𝒾𝓈𝒽-𝒻𝓊𝓁𝒻𝒾𝓁𝓁𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝒿𝑒𝓌𝑒𝓁 𝑜𝒻 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓉𝑒𝒶𝒸𝒽𝒾𝓃𝑔𝓈 𝑜𝒻 𝒮𝒶𝓂𝒶𝓃𝓉𝒶𝒷𝒽𝒶𝒹𝓇𝒶’𝓈 𝓂𝒾𝓃𝒹,
𝒮𝓊𝒷𝓁𝒾𝓂𝑒 𝓈𝓊𝒸𝒸𝑒𝓈𝓈𝑜𝓇 𝑜𝒻 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓋𝒾𝒸𝓉𝑜𝓇𝒾𝑜𝓊𝓈 𝒫𝒶𝒹𝓂𝒶𝓈𝒶𝓂𝒷𝒽𝒶𝓋𝒶,
𝐹𝑜𝓇 𝓎𝑜𝓊 𝓉𝑜 𝒷𝑒 𝒶 𝑔𝓊𝒾𝒹𝑒 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝒶𝓁𝓁𝓎 𝑜𝒻 𝓂𝒶𝓃𝓎 𝒹𝒾𝓈𝒸𝒾𝓅𝓁𝑒𝓈,
𝑀𝒶𝓎 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓋𝒾𝒸𝓉𝑜𝓇𝓎 𝒷𝒶𝓃𝓃𝑒𝓇 𝑜𝒻 𝓁𝒾𝒻𝑒 𝓌𝒾𝓉𝒽𝑜𝓊𝓉 𝒹𝑒𝒸𝓁𝒾𝓃𝑒 𝓇𝑒𝓂𝒶𝒾𝓃 𝓈𝓉𝑒𝒶𝒹𝒻𝒶𝓈𝓉.
In these challenging times, when:
- Emotions have become increasingly gross and reactive,
- Devotion to the Dharma is often shallow,
- Life spans are shortened by the force of collective karma,
- The essence of the Buddha’s teachings is frequently overlooked,
- Perseverance in practice has weakened, and
- Even the antidotes applied through Dharma are becoming ineffective
the appearance and flourishing of Dzogchen, the ultimate teaching of the Buddha, is not only auspicious but urgently needed.
His Holiness Gangteng Rinpoche’s presence in Australia and the first-ever Dzogchen retreat led by him marks the turning of a profound Dharma wheel on this sacred land. As part of this rare occasion, we are honored to announce a special teaching on the Preliminary Practices (Ngondro) on May 2, 2025. These teachings form the essential foundation for entering the path of Great Perfection and will not be repeated for the next four years.
